    Pitch It is an opportunity for University of the Arts London (UAL) students and graduates to receive funding and support to help grow new creative project and business ideas.

    Please complete your details and upload your application form. Make sure you submit your application before the deadline which can be found on the Pitch It webpage. Late applications cannot be accepted.

    Purpose and legal basis

    UAL uses the personal data you provide in this form to assess your eligibility to take part in Pitch It for this year. For the purposes of our legitimate interests, we process personal data to maintain a record of previous applications and support Careers & Employability's access, participation, including understanding the employability and development of students and graduates.

    Marketing consent

    If you wish to be contacted by us about future Careers & Employability events, we will use the email address you provide as part of this application to communicate with you via Mailchimp.

    You can opt out of these marketing emails at any time using the "unsubscribe" link in the emails. 

    Retention

    The personal data of all applicants will be retained for the duration of the programme plus 6 years before being anonymised for future statistical reporting.

  • Eligibility

    This opportunity is for students and graduates who have studied on a UAL undergraduate or postgraduate programme. This does not include short course or foundation courses. If you are a final year student, you cannot apply for support to deliver your graduate show.

    If you have taken part in Pitch It previously, you cannot apply to take part again with the same idea. If you have previously applied to take part in Pitch It but did not take part, you can apply again if you meet all the criteria.

    This is a live pitching event. 

    Please confirm that you are able to attend the Pitch It event, in person on Friday 15 May 2026. If selected, you will be invited to attend either in the morning or afternoon.
     

  • Online pitching may be available on a different date.
  • Please select the category that your idea best fits into – you should make a first and second choice.

  • We aim to allocate applicants to pitching sessions for their selected category, however this cannot be guaranteed.

  • Your files

    File names should be in the following format:

    • For applications: <family name_given name_ application> 
    • For supporting documents: <family name_given name_ supporting doc>
  • Accepted file types: pdf, Max. file size: 2 MB.
    Maximum file size - 2 mega bytes.
  • Accepted file types: pdf, Max. file size: 5 MB.
    Maximum file size - 5 mega bytes.

    For monitoring purposes and to provide additional support where available, it is optional to answer the following questions.

    Please note: selection to take part in Pitch It is not based on your responses to these questions.

  • Rate from 1 (not at all prepared) to 5 (very prepared)
  • Rate from 1 (not at all confident) to 5 (very confident)
  • Rate from 1 (not at all understanding) to 5 (very understanding)
  • Rate from 1 (not at all connected) to 5 (very connected)
  • Rate from 1 (not at all positive) to 5 (very positive)
  • E.g. self-employed, sole trader, limited company. Select “No” if not self employed.
  • E.g. 2023.
  • It can be your own name if you are registered as a sole trader or freelancer.
  • E.g. business website, LinkedIn, portfolio site, etc.
